For Black women scholars and authors, this is usually the season when your writing projects (dissertations, novels, scholarly articles and books) get pushed aside until the new year. But waiting until January doesn’t bring relief; it brings stress and lost momentum.
Just because the holiday season is coming in hot, that doesn’t mean you’re out of time to reach your writing goals for 2026. I created an end-of-year coaching program just for you: Holiday Headway.
What is Holiday Headway, you ask? Holiday Headway is a 3-month virtual writing coaching package that offers 1:1 coaching support and community support. It’s designed specifically for Black women scholars and authors who want to protect their intellectual work between October and December without burning out. Instead of heavy weekly assignments or mandatory calls, Holiday Headway offers quiet accountability and strategic clarity to help you make progress on your writing project through the holiday season.
Holiday Headway bolsters your writing progress by creating virtual structure, accountability, and support for your writing project by providing one 50-minute 1:1 coaching session with me (Dr. Roshaunda) and 3 months of access to the LELA House Community.
Running from October 1 through December 31, Holiday Headway is a low-drain coaching package designed to help you make steady, (ideally) stress-free progress on your writing project, while the rest of the world gets overwhelmed by holiday season demands.

- One 1:1 Manuscript Strategy Session (50 mins): A private call with me to map out your project architecture and set a realistic plan to write forward.
- 3 Months of Weekly Co-Working Sessions: Protected 90-minute body-doubling blocks to keep you accountable without adding meeting fatigue.
- Full LELA House Community Access: Including monthly Sistahhood Circles, monthly match-ups for asynchronous support, weekly recordings on ways to incorporate the literature and wisdom of our ancestral aunties into your life, and Pillar Channels where you connect with other women in a similar stage as you.
